Sales Training and Digital Marketing for Contractors

You already know how to do the work. What usually costs you money is everything that happens before the truck rolls and everything that happens at the kitchen table. Pick one service, or hand us the whole front end. Either way, we start by looking at what you have got before anybody sells you anything.

Legacy Sales Engineering builds and runs the front end of home service businesses: websites, SEO, ads, social media, reputation, CRM, lead engagement, AI receptionists and business phones, plus sales training and coaching. Based in Hawthorne and Ocala, Florida, and serving contractors across the United States, we help HVAC, chimney, flooring, gutter, power washing and commercial cleaning companies stop selling and start solving.

The problem

What actually breaks in a contractor's front end?

Almost nobody calls us because the crew does bad work. They call because the part of the business that happens before the truck rolls is held together with sticky notes, a personal cell number and a website somebody's nephew built years ago. Leads come in and sit. Estimates go out and never get followed up. Reviews trickle in only when a customer feels generous. The owner is the one person who can really sell, so growth stops at whatever that person can carry in a week.

That is a systems problem, not an effort problem. You can work harder inside a broken front end for years and watch the numbers barely move, because the leaks sit upstream of the work itself. Our job is to find them, plug them in the right order, and teach your people to run the process without you standing over them. You stay the hero here. We are the guide who has done this before, in your trade, at your price point.

Signs your marketing is the bottleneck

You do not show up when a homeowner searches your trade plus your town. Your site crawls on a phone. Your ads spend money without a booked appointment attached to it. Your review profile looks thin next to the shop down the road. Your social accounts have not been touched since the last busy season, and your phone only rings when a referral remembers you.

Signs your sales process is the bottleneck

New leads get called back hours later, or the next morning. Two people on your team run two completely different appointments. Quotes get emailed and then nobody follows up. You cut price to win work you should have won on value. The same four objections surprise your team every single week, because nobody ever wrote down how to answer them.

The plan

How do we start working together?

Three steps. No long discovery process, no pressure to buy the whole menu, and no contract signed before we both know what the problem is. Most clients start with one service and add the next piece when the business is ready to carry it.

Step one

Book the free evaluation

About thirty minutes on the phone. We walk through where your leads come from, what happens to them after they arrive, and how your appointments actually run today.

Step two

Get a plan in priority order

You get a straight picture of what is leaking, what to fix first and what it takes to fix it. If the first fix is something you can handle yourself, we will say so.

Step three

We build it and train your team

We build the pieces you hire us for, wire them into your CRM, and train the people who have to use them on a Tuesday afternoon in the middle of a busy week.

Done for you

Which marketing services do we run?

Every service below is available on its own. You are not required to bundle, and you are not required to replace something that already works. If your site is fine and your follow-up is the problem, we will tell you to start with follow-up.

Website Development

Your site is the first sales call, and most homeowners open it on a phone with two bars of signal. We build fast, mobile-first WordPress sites wired to your CRM, so a form fill becomes a tracked lead instead of an email nobody opens. Clear service pages, click to call on every screen, Rank Math and Search Atlas configured from day one.

Search Engine Optimization

If a homeowner searches your trade and your town and you are not on that first screen, the job went to whoever was. We handle on-page structure, service and location pages, technical cleanup, Google Business Profile and the content that earns the ranking. Reporting comes from Rank Math and Search Atlas. SEO is slow work, and we say so up front.

Social Media Management

Homeowners scroll before they dial, and a dead profile reads like a business that closed. We plan, write and publish content that looks like your company instead of stock filler: job photos, crew introductions, seasonal reminders. The calendar keeps running through your busy season, which is exactly when most contractor accounts go quiet.

Ad Management

Most contractors who quit on ads were not running bad ads. They were running ads with no offer, no tracking and nobody following up. We build the campaign, landing page, tracking and follow-up as one piece on Google and Meta, then manage spend against booked appointments rather than clicks. Your budget stays in your own account.

Reputation Management

Reviews are the last thing a homeowner checks before calling. We automate the ask so every finished job gets a request by text and email while the customer is happiest, catch the unhappy ones before they post, and keep replies going out under your name. Over a season that wins you the click in the map pack.

Custom CRM

We build inside GoHighLevel, white-labelled as WeekendCRM: one place for leads, pipelines, calendars, estimates, e-signatures, invoices and automated follow-up. It is built around how your business actually books work, not a template you bend yourself around. Your team gets trained on it and you own the data.

Lead Engagement

Speed to lead decides more deals than price does. We set up automatic text and email replies that reach a new lead in seconds, nurture sequences that keep slow decisions warm, and reactivation campaigns for people who asked for a quote last year and never heard back. Your old database is the cheapest pipeline you own.

AI Voice Receptionist and Chatbots

You cannot answer a phone from inside an attic, and a missed call is a job your competitor booked. We set up AI voice reception and website chat that answer around the clock, qualify the caller, handle common questions and book onto your calendar. Anything the assistant should not handle routes to a human with the transcript attached.

Managed Business Phones

Running the company off a personal cell costs you credibility and control over your own leads. We set up a real business line with call routing, extensions, voicemail, recording and tracking, tied into your CRM so every call logs against the right contact. When a call gets missed, a text goes out automatically.

The Full Stack

Want all of it run by one team on one plan? That is The Full Stack: website, SEO, social, ads, reputation and CRM handled together instead of by five vendors who blame each other. One point of contact, one strategy, one set of numbers to look at.

Sales training

What does the training side look like?

Marketing gets the appointment. What happens at the kitchen table decides whether it was worth paying for. That is why we sell training and marketing under one roof: better lead flow into a weak sales process just means you lose more expensive leads. Our method is a proprietary seven step sales framework, built on Solution Based Questions, NEPQ and the Zig Ziglar principle that you can have what you want by helping enough other people get what they want. Diagnosis before prescription, every time.

Sales Training

Team training built for in-home consultations, not a software floor. Your people learn to run the same appointment the same way every time: ask before you present, find the problem the homeowner already knows they have, and answer recurring objections without dropping price to buy a yes. Delivered live, reinforced with role play, and documented so the next hire learns it in week one.

One on One Coaching

For owners and top performers who want reps rather than a classroom. Standing calls with Shawn, after action reviews of the appointments you actually ran this week, and a plan built around your market, your price point and the objections your customers really raise. This is usually where a good closer turns into the person who can train everybody else on the team.

Keynote Speaking

Shawn speaks to trade associations, contractor groups and corporate sales teams. Topics include the seven step framework, building a selling culture inside a trades business, and closing the gap between the marketing that generates the lead and the person sitting at the table. Sessions are built around your audience and your trade, not read off a canned deck.

Branding

If the truck, the shirt, the estimate and the website look like four different companies, the homeowner notices before you do. We tighten the visual and verbal identity so everything you hand a customer reads as one business that will still be here in five years. It is the cheapest credibility you can buy.

Fit

Who is this built for?

We work with HVAC, chimney, flooring, gutter, power washing and commercial cleaning companies, plus adjacent home service trades that sell through an in-home visit and a real buying decision. We are based in Hawthorne and Ocala, we know North Central Florida cold, and we run the same programs for contractors across the United States. If your work involves a homeowner, a walkthrough and a number that makes somebody pause, this was built for you.

It is a poor fit if you want somebody to post twice a month and call that marketing, or if you want more leads without changing how your team handles them. We are going to ask about your close rate, and what happens to a lead at eight on a Friday night. If those questions are unwelcome, we will say so on the first call instead of six months in.

The Legacy Sales Engineering lion mark

How do I know which service to start with?

Start where the leak is biggest. If nobody is finding you, start with the website and SEO. If people find you but never hear back, start with lead engagement and managed phones. If you sit at plenty of tables and lose too many of them, start with sales training. If you cannot tell which one it is, that is exactly what the free evaluation is for, and it costs you half an hour.

Stakes

What happens if you leave it the way it is?

Nothing dramatic, and that is the trap. The phone still rings sometimes. Referrals still come in. You just keep paying a quiet tax: leads that went cold over a weekend, estimates nobody chased, a ranking that slid while a competitor kept publishing, the good tech who left because the schedule was never full enough. None of it shows up as one bad day. It shows up as a business that stays the same size for five years while you work harder inside it.

The other version is straightforward. Calls get answered or returned in seconds. Every appointment runs the same way, whether you are in the house or not. Reviews come in on their own. You know what a lead costs and what one is worth. And the business can grow past what you personally can carry, which is the only version of this that is worth leaving to anybody.

FAQ

Questions we get about our services

Can I hire you for just one service?

Yes. Every service on this page is available on its own, with no requirement to bundle. Most clients start with the single piece that is costing them the most money and add others later. The Full Stack exists for owners who want everything handled together, but it is a choice, not a gate.

What trades do you work with?

HVAC, chimney, flooring, gutters, power washing, commercial cleaning and adjacent home service trades. The common thread is an in-home or on-site consultation followed by a real purchase decision. If that describes your business, the sales framework and the marketing systems both apply.

Do you only work with contractors in Florida?

No. We are based in Hawthorne and work throughout the Ocala and North Central Florida area, and we serve clients across the United States. Marketing, CRM and training all run remotely. On-site training and speaking engagements are scheduled by arrangement.

How is this different from a normal marketing agency?

Most agencies stop at the lead. We work both sides: the systems that produce the lead and the sales process that turns it into signed work. That is why a marketing engagement here usually includes a conversation about how your team runs appointments, and why training clients often end up fixing follow-up first.

What is WeekendCRM?

WeekendCRM is our white-labelled build of GoHighLevel. It holds your leads, pipelines, calendars, estimates, e-signatures, invoices, automated follow-up and reporting in one place. We configure it around your booking process and train your team on it, and your data stays yours.

How long before I see results?

It depends on the service. Lead engagement, phones and reputation work usually change something within the first few weeks, because they act on leads you already get. SEO and content take longer and compound. Sales training shows up as soon as your team runs the next set of appointments.

Next step

Not sure where to start? Start with the evaluation.

Thirty minutes, no pitch. We look at your whole front end: where leads come from, what happens to them, how your appointments run and what your digital presence is producing. You leave knowing what is working, what is not, and what it would take to fix it. Whether you hire us or not, it is a conversation worth having.
